• Dec. 6 - 8, 2002 -- In MA, 19-month-old Chase, Kaydin's Knight of Faith (Cosmo x. Jaxon), owned by Shannon and Sherry Walker (MA) and Vanessa Rhodes and handled by Shannon, was Winners Dog for another point on Friday, under Robert J. Moore! On Saturday, he was Reserve to the 4-point major under Donald Sturz. And on Sunday, Chase was WD for the major under Mrs. Ainslie Mills! Chase now has 9 points with both majors!

• Nov. 30, 2002 -- In MA, 19-month-old Chase, Kaydin's Knight of Faith (Cosmo x. Jaxon), owned by Shannon and Sherry Walker (MA) and Vanesg Rhodes and handled by Shannon, won Best of Breed over a special for 2 points, under Christine Pollender!

• Nov. 23 - 24, 2002 -- In AL, 26-month-old China, *Ch.* TLC Agape's Treasure Chest NAJ CGC (Cosmo x. Ashley), owned by Amanda Rawson (GA) and Sue Van Buren (NY), was Best of Winners, Best of Opposite over a special on Saturday under Mrs. James Edward Clark for her third major, and Best of Winners, Best of Opposite on Sunday under Miss Dorothy Macdonald to finish her Championship!

• Nov. 23, 2002 -- At the Chesapeake KC of MD / CRFCRC Supported Entry show, Cosmo, Ch. SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon UD JH AX WCX CGC TT HOF eligible (Major x. Ravin), won Best Veteran In Sweepstakes under Peter Heidi, handled by Dawn! Also, Ronja, Mei Dan Haukansilmä, who is in the States from Finland for a planned December breeding to Cosmo, won the 5 point major handled by Dawn and Best of Winners, under Gene Czerwinski! Dec. 5 - 9 Update! Ronja has been bred! See Details!

• Nov. 23, 2002 -- We sadly note the passing of Ajax, Lyric's Ajax of Lindamoor (Tomas x. Waylynn), the beloved companion of the Barclay family, at the age of 7 years, 9 months.

• Nov. 22, 2002 -- In MA, 9-month-old Cody, TLC Starlight Of The Rockies (Cosmo x. Ashley repeat) was owner-handled by Nancy Brown to Reserve Winners Dog!

• Nov. 3, 2002 -- A nice Best of Breed for Cosmo, from the Veteran Dog class! Ch. SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon UD JH AX WCX CGC TT HOF eligible (Major x. Ravin) won over 4 other specials in an entry of 13 at Langley KC (VA) under Charles Trotter. Rarely shown, Cosmo still knows how to fill a ring with his elegance, presence and movement!

• Nov. 3, 2002 -- Happy first birthday to the Yahtaris litter (Cosmo x. Eva) pups -- Jay, Nikka, Doc, Maisy, Mollie, Clara, Shadow, Vader and Potter!

  • In VA, 25-month-old Reggae, Ch. SR TLC Shalyn Rhythm O' The Island CGC (Cosmo x. Ashley), owner-handled by Sherri Lilley (VA), won Best of Opposite under Susan St. John Brown! Reggae also won Best of Opposite under Helen Horn on Nov. 2!

  • In PA, 18-month-old Luna, Kaydin's Leap of Faith (Cosmo x. Jaxon), owned by Charlotte O'Tiarnaigh and Scott Altmann (NJ) and Vanessa Rhodes and handled by Charlotte, won Best of Opposite under Lester Mapes! Too bad the major Luna needs to finish her Ch. didn't hold!

• Oct. 26 - 27, 2002 -- Two extra UD legs for Cosmo, CH SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon UD JH AX WCX CGC TT HOF eligible (Major x. Ravin)! He placed 4th and 2nd at the Portsmouth-Chesapeake Club trials in VA, out of 17 and 12 dogs competing in Utility A!

• Oct. 26, 2002 -- A new CD! 19-month-old Tink, Claymore's Tinker Bell *CD* CGC (Cosmo x. Katie), co-owned, trained and handled by Peter Alea (VA), finished her AKC CD title at Middleburg KC by winning first place out of 17 competing in the Novice A class, with a 188! BIG congratulations!!

• Oct. 19 - 20, 2002 -- A new Champion! In MD, 19-month-old Atticus, *Ch.* Claymore's Mockingbird of TudorHill (Cosmo x. Katie), owned and handled by Beverly McWhirter (WV), picked up another point on Sat. under Meredith Johnson-Snyder . . . and on Sunday, Atticus won Best of Breed over 3 male specials under Marjorie Martorella for a major to finish his Championship! Congratulations to Atticus, Bev, and breeder Al Jenkins!!

• Oct. 19, 2002 -- Cosmo qualified for the Hall of Fame! Ch. SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon *UD* JH AX WCX CGC TT *HOF pending* (Major x. Ravin), finished his Utility Dog title in obedience with a 188.5 in the B class in Hampton, VA. He also placed 3rd in Veterans obedience. What a great day!!

• Oct. 12 - 13, 2002 -- In MD, 19-month-old Atticus, Claymore's Mockingbird of TudorHill (Cosmo x. Katie), owned and handled by Beverly McWhirter (WV), won Winners Dog and Best of Winners both days under Jeannette McGinnis and Roy Holloway, for two more points! Atticus now has 11 points with a major.

• Oct. 12 - 14, 2002 -- In Canada, 8-month-old Blue, TLC Bluemoon's Starlight (Cosmo x. Ashley repeat), owned by Edward Miley and Sue Van Buren (NY), won Best Puppy, Winners Dog and Best of Opposite Sex for 2 points on Saturday under Cheryl Myers Egerton, breeder-handled by Sue! Blue wasn't entered on Sunday, but on Monday he was WD for another point under John Ross!

• Oct. 12, 2002 -- 18-month-old Luna, Kaydin's Leap of Faith (Cosmo x. Jaxon), owned by Charlotte O'Tiarnaigh and Scott Altmann (NJ) and Vanessa Rhodes and handled by Charlotte, won WB and BOS for 2 points under Ed Kauffman! Luna needs just a major to finish her Ch.

• Oct. 5, 2002 -- Cosmo, Ch. SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH AX WCX CGC TT (Major x. Ravin), qualified in Veterans obedience with a 190.5 in Alexandria, VA. Dawn took new photos of Cosmo and they are here.

• Sept. 28, 2002 -- At the Wine Circuit in NY, 24-month-old Ch. TLC Carry The Torch Chance CGC, Chance (Cosmo x. Ashley), owner-handled by Judy Riedel (CT), won Best of Breed over 40 flat-coats under Robert McKowen! This win puts Chance in the Top 20 rankings by flat-coats defeated year to date through Sept. 30! Chance is also invited to the AKC/Eukanuba Invitational show in Orlando in December!

• Sept. 21 - 22, 2002 -- The incomparable team of Al Jenkins and Katie, Ch. WR Lyric's Kay CD SH WCX CGC TDI (Tomas x. Waylynn), earned *two* NAHRA Master Hunting Retriever legs this weekend!

• Sept. 21 - 22, 2002 -- Meanwhile, Katie's 18-month-old daughter Tink, Claymore's Tinker Bell CGC (Cosmo x. Katie), co-owned, trained and handled by Peter Alea, earned *two* legs toward her AKC CD title from the Novice A class! Peter and Tink showed at the Hyattsville and Southern Maryland Dog Training Club trials, scoring 181 for third place on Saturday, and 189 for second place on Sunday!

• Sept. 16, 2002 -- Happy 2nd birthday to the TLC litter (Cosmo x. Ashley) bred by Sue Van Buren!

• Sept. 14, 2002 -- 23-month-old China, TLC Agape's Treasure Chest *NAJ* CGC (Cosmo x. Ashley), co-owned and handled by Amanda Rawson (GA), finished her Novice Agility Jumpers title in 3 straight trials with all placements!

• Sept. 14, 2002 -- In MA, 23-month-old Ch. TLC Carry The Torch Chance CGC, Chance (Cosmo x. Ashley), owner-handled by Judy Riedel (CT), won Best of Breed under Ruth Ann Freer!

• Sept. 14, 2002 -- In MN, 18-month-old Snicker, Ch. Claymore's Live, Love, Laugh (Cosmo x. Katie), owned by Linda and Les Conrad (MN), was Best of Opposite under Helen Lee James!

• Sept. 7, 2002 -- 23-month-old Drummer, TLC's Survivor-Special Delivery CGC *TT* (Cosmo x. Ashley), owned, trained and handled by Georgette Palinkas (TX), passed the American Temperament Test Society's Temperament Test with flying colors! Like father, like son :-). Drummer also recently graduated from intermediate agility class, and continues his obedience work with Georgette.

• Sept. 2, 2002 -- At his first NCA show, 7-month-old Blue, TLC Bluemoon's Starlight (Cosmo x. Ashley repeat), owned by Edward Miley and Sue Van Buren (NY), won a Group 3 under Pat Hess for his first NCA points, breeder-handled by Sue!

• Aug. 31, 2002 -- In NJ, 6-month-old Crystal, TLC Starlite's First Gleaming (Cosmo x. Ashley repeat), owned by Terry and Margaret Uminsky and Sue Van Buren(NY), was Reserve under Desmond Murphy,handled by Margaret! And in MI, her sister Jewel, TLC's Starlit Superior Jewel (Cosmo x. Ashley repeat), owned by Tom and Glenna Sprague DVM (MI), won her class under Chuck Herendeen, handled by Tom!

• Aug. 25, 2002 -- In MN, 17-month-old Snicker, Ch. Claymore's Live, Love, Laugh (Cosmo x. Katie), owned by Linda and Les Conrad (MN), was Best of Opposite in an entry of close to 30 flat-coats under Nancy Liebes!

• Aug. 10, 2002 -- A new title for *12-year-old* Ravin, and in Agility no less! Ch. SR Lyric Queen Of The Mountain CDX JH NA *NAJ* WCX CGC Can CD WC (Topper x. Reggae Rocker), owned by Dawn Buttion and Marty Archambeault (MD), finishd her Jumpers title in PA with a class placement! Dawn also ran Ravin's granddaughter Piper and qualified!

• Aug. 9 - 10, 2002 -- 16-month-old Luna, Kaydin's Leap of Faith (Cosmo x. Jaxon), owned by Charlotte O'Tiarnaigh and Scott Altmann (NJ) and Vanessa Rhodes and handled by Charlotte, won Best of Breed on Friday and Best of Opposite on Saturday at Sand & Sea KC, giving her 12 points with a major!

• Aug. 7, 2002 -- We note with much sorrow the passing of Lyric's I.M.A. Pepper (Topper x. Reggae Rocker), at the age of 12 years 4 months, in her sleep, from kidney failure. Pepper was the beloved companion of the Parker family.

• Aug. 3 - 4, 2002 -- At the Southwestern PA NAHRA hunt tests, Katie, Ch. WR Lyric's Kay CD SH WCX CGC TDI (Tomas x. Waylynn), owner handled by Al Jenkins (MD), earned 2 more Working Retriever legs to complete her Intermediate Brass Band Award!

• Aug. 4, 2002 -- 15-month-old Luna, Kaydin's Leap of Faith (Cosmo x. Jaxon), owned by Charlotte O'Tiarnaigh and Scott Altmann (NJ) and Vanessa Rhodes and handled by Charlotte, won another point under Bernard Schwartz at Hunterdon Hills KC, giving her 10 with a major!

• Aug. 3, 2002 -- 6-month-old Crystal, TLC Starlite's First Gleaming (Cosmo x. Ashley repeat), owned by Terry and Margaret Uminsky and Sue Van Buren (NY), *won* the Puppy Sporting Group at the Long Island KC sanctioned match, handled by Margaret! Congratulations!

• Aug. 2 - 3, 2002 -- At the Canadian National Specialty in Calgary, Jay, Yahtaris My Janus Sky Dancer (Cosmo x. Eva), bred, owned and handled by Jessica Sedivy (MN), placed 3rd in Puppy Sweeps 6-9 Months, and 2nd in Puppy Dogs 9-12 Months!

• July 15, 2002 -- 21-month-old Drummer, TLC's Survivor-Special Delivery *CGC* (Cosmo x. Ashley), owned, trained and handled by Georgette Palinkas (TX), earned his Canine Good Citizen designation!

• July 15, 2002 -- 21-month-old China, TLC Agape's Treasure Chest CGC (Cosmo x. Ashley), co-owned and handled by Amanda Rawson (GA), earned her 2nd NAJ leg!

• July 13 - 14, 2002 -- At the Duluth KC shows, 16-month-old Snicker, Ch. Claymore's Live, Love, Laugh (Cosmo x. Katie), owned by Linda and Les Conrad (MN), won Best of Breed under Betty Duding and Houston Clark!

Claymore's Live, Love, Laugh, owned by Linda and Les Conrad (MN), was Best of Breed under Linda Riedel; and in MD, Atticus, Claymore's Mockingbird of TudorHill, owned and handled by Beverly McWhirter (WV), won 2 points and Best of Winners under Nat Horn, giving him 9 points with a major!

• Happy 4th of July! -- 15-month-old Claymore's Mockingbird of TudorHill, Atticus (Cosmo x. Katie), owner-handled by Beverly McWhirter (WV), was Winners Dog for another point under Patricia Laurans at Catoctin KC!

• June 29 - 30, 2002 -- A good weekend in UKC obedience for Cosmo, Ch. SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH AX WCX CGC TT. Both days he won first place in the Novice C class, and on Sunday he won second place in the Open B class, for his first U-CDX leg! His scores averaged 188.5.

• June 22, 2002 -- 14-month-old Luna, Kaydin's Leap of Faith (Cosmo x. Jaxon), owned by Charlotte O'Tiarnaigh and Scott Altmann (NJ) and Vanessa Rhodes and handled by Charlotte, won 2 more points and Best of Breed in NY under Thomas H. Bradley! Luna now has 9 points with a major.

• June 9 - 15, 2002 -- The National Specialty around Chicago:
  • Ravin, Ch. SR Lyric Queen Of The Mountain CDX JH NA WCX CGC Can CD WC (Topper x. Reggae Rocker), owned by Dawn Buttion and Marty Archambeault, placed 4th in Agility with a perfect score of 100 and a time of 55 seconds on a 72 second course! She also scored 188.5 in Veterans Obedience handled by Dawn, and placed 3rd in Veteran Bitches 11+ Years handled by Marty under James Reynolds, earning a Triathlon Award!

  • Cosmo, Ch. SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH AX WCX CGC TT (Major x. Ravin), owned by Melody Daniels, Dawn Buttion and Marty Archambeault, qualified in Junior Hunter and scored 188 in Veterans Obedience handled by Melody (with thanks to Amanda Rawson for taking him in for group stays!), and placed 4th in Veteran Sweeps 7-9 Years under Andrea Holsinger and made the cut in regular Veteran Dogs and placed 4th in Stud Dogs under James Reynolds handled by Dawn, also earning a Triathlon Award!

  • Jay, Yahtaris My Janus Sky Dancer (Cosmo x. Eva), bred, owned and handled by Jessica Sedivy (MN), placed 4th in Puppy Dogs 6-9 Months under James Reynolds! Earlier, his sister Maisy, Yahtaris Moon Over Clarenjoy *CGC*, owned by Joyce Ann Krueger (IL), earned her CGC!

• June 9 and 15, 2002 -- 14-month-old Geyser, Kaydin's Old Faithful CGC (Cosmo x. Jaxon), owned by Karen and Susan Beardslee (CO) and Vanessa Rhodes and handled by Karen, picked up another point in Colorado Springs under Carol Jean Nelson, and 2 more points and Best of Winners in Blackfoot, Idaho under Charlotte McGowan. Geyser now has 6 points with a major! Karen also won Best Junior Handler with Geyser on the Idaho circuit.

• June 1, 2002 -- 6-month-old Maisy, Yahtaris Moon Over Clarenjoy (Cosmo x. Eva), owned by Eva's breeder, Joyce Ann Krueger (IL), made her show debut and was Reserve Winners Bitch!

• May 31, 2002 -- 6-month-old Jay, Yahtaris My Janus Sky Dancer (Cosmo x. Eva), breeder-owner handled by Jessica Sedivy (MN), was Best of Winners under Melbourne Downing at the Fargo-Moorhead KC show, and won a Puppy Sporting Group 3rd at the sanctioned match!

• May 27, 2002 -- 13-month-old Luna, Kaydin's Leap of Faith (Cosmo x. Jaxon), owned by Charlotte O'Tiarnaigh and Scott Altmann (NJ) and Vanessa Rhodes and handled by Charlotte, won another point in NJ under Ronald Krohne! Luna now has 7 points with a major.

• May 26, 2002 -- A nice Best of Breed win for Cosmo, from the Veteran Dog class! Ch. SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH AX WCX CGC TT (Major x. Ravin) went up over 4 other specials at Gloucester KC (VA) under Dee Maltz. Cosmo showed beautifully and I was honored to be on the end of his leash.

• May 26, 2002 -- At the MAFCRC supported entry show, 13-month-old Luna, Kaydin's Leap of Faith (Cosmo x. Jaxon), owned by Charlotte O'Tiarnaigh and Scott Altmann (NJ) and Vanessa Rhodes and handled by Charlotte, won Best of Opposite in Puppy Sweeps under Dawn Buttion!

• May 25, 2002 -- An agility Double-Q . . . for *12-year-old* Ravin! Ch. SR Lyric Queen Of The Mountain CDX JH NA WCX CGC Can CD WC (Topper x. Reggae Rocker), running with her mom Dawn Buttion, won 1st place in Novice B Standard and placed 3rd in Novice B Jumpers! Both were clean runs, perfect scores of 100. This was only Ravin's 2nd time in Jumpers and she now has 2 NAJ legs -- what an amazing Veteran! Ravin also ran in Novice Standard on May 27, again qualifying with a score of 100 and 1st place!

• May 25, 2002 -- 6-month-old Jay, Yahtaris My Janus Sky Dancer (Cosmo x. Eva), breeder-owner handled by Jessica Sedivy (MN), won a sanctioned match Puppy Sporting Group 4th!

Reggae Rocker), running in the event for fun, earned a special Veterans JAM for completing all the marks in fine style at the age of 12 years! • April 5, 2002 -- With incredible sadness, we received the news of a tragic accident that cut short the life of 18-month-old "Rudy", Ch. TLC's Double Rainbow Rudy (Cosmo x. Ashley), who was owned by his breeder, Sue Van Buren in New York. We loved you, Rudy.

Ravin also placed in Veterans obedience with a 195, and helped 6 year old Colin Archambeault win Best Junior Handler at the match!

• March 20 - 23, 2002 -- In her Open Bitch class debut, Reggae, TLC Shalyn Rhythm O' The Island (Cosmo x. Ashley), owned by Sherri Lilley (VA), won the points under Joseph Gregory and Marilyn Spacht on the Tarheel circuit, giving her 13 points with a major!

• March 16 - 17, 2002 -- At the Virginia Retriever Association NAHRA hunt test:
  • Katie, Ch. *WR* Lyric's Kay CD SH WCX CGC TDI (Tomas x. Waylynn), owner handled by Al Jenkins (MD), finished her NAHRA Working Retriever title!

  • 18-month-old Reggae, TLC Shalyn Rhythm O' The Island (Cosmo x. Ashley), owned, trained and handled by Sherri Lilley (VA) earned her 2nd NAHRA Started Retriever pass!

• March 9 - 10, 2002 -- At the Maryland Sporting Dog Association / Capital Region Supported Entry shows:
  • 17-month-old Reggae, TLC Shalyn Rhythm O' The Island (Cosmo x. Ashley), owner handled by Sherri Lilley (VA) won the 5 point major and Best of Winners under Christine Pollender! Reggae now has 11 points. Reggae also won Best Puppy In Sweeps under Lauren Weidner, with 15 puppies entered in the Sweepstakes!

  • Ravin, Ch. SR Lyric Queen Of The Mountain CDX JH NA WCX CGC Can CD WC (Topper x. Reggae Rocker), who will turn twelve years old next month, won Best Veteran In Sweeps under Ben Dale! Ravin is owned by Dawn Buttion and Marty Archambeault (MD) and is handled in breed by Marty. There were 11 Veterans entered in the Sweepstakes!

  • Cosmo, Ch. SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH AX WCX CGC TT (Major x. Ravin), from the Working Dog class, made the final cut in Best of Breed both days! Cosmo also *almost* finished his UD . . . taking the same jump twice in an otherwise nice performance.

• Feb. 22 - 23, 2002 -- In Chicago, 11-month-old *Ch.* Claymore's Live, Love, Laugh -- Snicker (Cosmo x. Katie) -- finished her Championship going Best of Wininers under Beth Speich and Dana Cline.  Liver pup Snicker is owned by Linda & Les Conrad and is handled by Jessica MacMillan.   Shown a total of 7 times, all in the Puppy classes, Snicker won the points at 5 consecutive shows, including 4 majors!!

• Feb. 17, 2002 -- In MD, 11-month-old Tink, Claymore's Tinker Bell CGC (Cosmo x. Katie), owner handled by Peter Alea, was Reserve in an entry of 7 bitches under breeder-judge Kurt Anderson.

• Feb. 16, 2002 -- In NC, Katie, Ch. SR Lyric's Kay CD *SH* WCX CGC TDI (Tomas x. Waylynn), owner handled by Al Jenkins, earned her 4th leg and AKC Senior Hunter title!

• Jan. 27, 2002 -- In SC, 9-month-old Faith, Kaydin's Finding Faith CGC (Cosmo x. Jaxon), breeder-owner handled by Vanessa Rhodes (NC), picked up another point over major pointed adult competition, under Barbara Alderman!
