• Dec. 8 - 9, 2001 -- At the Granite City KC shows in MN, Claymore's Live, Love, Laugh -- Snicker (Cosmo x. Katie) -- won the 4 point major on Saturday, and Best of Breed over a male special on Sunday for another 4 point major handled by Jessica MacMillan! Liver pup Snicker turned 9 months on Sat. and is owned by Linda & Les Conrad. WOW!

• Dec. 8 - 9, 2001 -- At the Forsyth KC shows in NC, Kaydin's Finding Faith CGC -- Faith (Cosmo x. Jaxon) -- won 2 points over 5 Open bitches on Saturday, and was Reserve on Sunday in the same competition. Faith turned 8 months on Sat. and was shown by Vanessa Rhodes in the Bred By Exhibitor class. Congratulations!

• December 2, 2001 -- BIG congratulations to Al Jenkins and Katie, CH SR Lyric's Kay CD JH WCX CGC TDI, on earning her 3rd AKC Senior Hunter leg in SC!

  • At the show on Friday, 14 month old Reggae, TLC Shalyn Rhythm O' The Island (Cosmo x. Ashley), owned by Sherri Lilley (VA) was Reserve to the 5 point major from the 12-18 Month class.

  • At the match on Friday night:
    • 7 month old Faith, Kaydin's Finding Faith CGC (Cosmo x. Jaxon), breeder/owner handled by Vanessa Rhodes (NC), was Best of Opposite Sex Puppy in Match.

    • 7 month old Chase, Kaydin's Knight of Faith (Cosmo x. Jaxon), owned by Shannon and Sherry Walker (MA) and Vanessa Rhodes and handled by Vanessa, won first place out of 3 puppies in the 6-9 Month Puppy Dog class.

  • In Sweeps on Saturday morning:
    • 7 month old Luna, Kaydin's Leap of Faith (Cosmo x. Jaxon), owned by Charlotte O'Tiarnaigh and Scott Altmann (NJ) and Vanessa Rhodes and handled by Charlotte, won first place out of 3 puppies in the 6-9 Month Puppy Bitch class.

    • 14 month old Reggae, TLC Shalyn Rhythm O' The Island (Cosmo x. Ashley), owner handled by Sherri Lilley (VA), placed 2nd out of 7 in the 12-18 Month Bitch class.

    • 11.5 *year* old Ravin, CH SR Lyric Queen Of The Mountain CDX JH NA WCX CGC Can CD WC (Topper x. Reggae Rocker), owned by Dawn Buttion and Marty Archambeault (MD) and handled by Marty, won first place in the 11+ Year Veteran Bitch class. Ravin is Cosmo's mother.

  • At the show on Saturday:
    • 8 month old Tink, Claymore's Tinker Bell CGC (Cosmo x. Katie), owned by Peter Alea (MD) and Al Jenkins and handled by Pete, won first place out of 3 puppies in the 6-9 Month Puppy Bitch class.

    • 6.5 year old Cosmo, CH SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH AX WCX CGC (Major x. Ravin), won the Working Dog class handled by Dawn, and made all *4* cuts in Best of Breed handled by Melody, and won the Stud Dog class handled by Dawn, along with Sherri handling daughter Reggae and Charlotte handling daughter Luna!

  • At the show on Sunday, 8 month old Atticus, Claymore's Mockingbird of TudorHill (Cosmo x. Katie), owner handled by Beverly McWhirter (WV), was Best of Winners for a 4-point major, his first points!

  There were many other big wins over the weekend by Ravin kids and grandkids, such as Cricket (Leroy x. Augie) winning 2 majors and a Best of Breed over specials from the 12-18 Month bitch class; Augie (Surf x. Ravin) winning the Brood Bitch class; and Dino (Zeus x. Augie) winning a Best of Breed. Congratulations to all!

• November 17, 2001 -- A new Champion! In Syracuse NY, the day after turning 14 months old, Rudy, *CH* TLC's Double Rainbow Rudy (Cosmo x. Ashley), breeder-owner handled by Sue Van Buren, won Best of Winners for a 4-point major, his 3rd major and Championship!

  Meanwhile in GA, Rudy's major-pointed sister China, TLC Agape's Treasure Chest *CGC* (Cosmo x. Ashley), owned by Amanda Rawson and Sue Van Buren, earned her Canine Good Citizen designation, trained and handled by Amanda!!

• November 17-18, 2001 -- Congratulations to Al Jenkins and Katie, CH SR Lyric's Kay CD JH WCX CGC TDI (Tomas x. Waylynn), on their 3rd NAHRA Intermediate leg, and their *almost* in Senior!!

• Nov. 4, 2001 -- 6 month old, major pointed Geyser, Kaydin's Old Faithful *CGC* (Cosmo x. Jaxon), owned by Karen and Susan Beardslee (CO) and breeder Vanessa Rhodes (NC), earned his Canine Good Citizen designation handled by Karen!

• Nov. 4, 2001 -- At the Gloucester KC show in VA, Cosmo, CH SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH AX WCX CGC (Major x. Ravin) won Best of Breed over 4 other male specials under Arley Hussin!! With me handling :-). And Cosmo's 13 month old daughter Reggae, TLC Shalyn Rhythm O' The Island (x. Ashley), owner handled by Sherri Lilley, was Winners Bitch for 2 more points and Best of Opposite Sex to her dad!!

• Nov. 3, 2001 -- At the Mid-Atlantic FCRC Supported Entry show in PA, Cosmo's mother Ravin, CH SR Lyric Queen Of The Mountain CDX JH NA WCX CGC Can CD WC (Topper x. Reggae), owned by Dawn Buttion and Marty Archambeault, won Best Veteran In Sweeps!! Ravin is 11.5 years old and is a *very* special girl!!

  At the same show, 2 of the Cosmo x. Jaxon pups, 6 months old, made their debuts! Luna, Kaydin's Leap Of Faith, placed first in her Sweeps class; and Chase, Kaydin's Knight Of Faith, placed second in his Sweeps class! Congratulatons!

• Nov. 3, 2001 -- Welcome little ones! 5 girls and 4 boys, all black, whelped in MN by CH Clarenjoy's Eva My Blue Moon CGC, owned by Jessica Sedivy -- the Yahtaris "Moon" litter sired by Cosmo, CH SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH AX WCX CGC (Major x. Ravin). See details!

• Nov. 1 and 2, 2001 -- 13 month old Reggae, TLC Shalyn Rhythm O' The Island (Cosmo x. Ashley), owner handled by Sherri Lilley in Virginia Beach, won another point over Open bitches on Thursday . . . and on Friday, she was Best of Winners for another point!!

• Oct. 21, 2001 -- Chance, *CH* TLC Carry The Torch Chance CGC (Cosmo x. Ashley), owner-handled by Judy Riedel, finished his Championship in Troy, NY! Chance is 13 months 5 days old, and is Judy and Steve's first show dog. CONGRATULATIONS!!

• Oct. 18, 2001 -- At his first show, 6 month old Geyser, Kaydin's Old Faithful (Cosmo x. Jaxon), owned by Karen and Susan Beardslee (CO) and breeder Vanessa Rhodes (NC), was handled by young Karen to a 3 point major in Oklahoma!!

• October 13-14, 2001 -- Katie, CH SR Lyric's Kay CD JH WCX CGC TDI (Tomas x. Waylynn), owned by Al Jenkins, earned *two* Senior Hunter legs this weekend!!

• Oct. 13, 2001 -- At the Griffin GA show, 12 month old China, TLC Agape's Treasure Chest (Cosmo x. Ashley), owned by Amanda Rawson and Sue Van Buren, won a 3 point major and Best of Opposite Sex to Amanda's male special Keeper. China now has 7 points!!

• Sept. 29, 2001 -- At the NEFCRC *Supported Entry* show in NY, 12 month old Rudy, TLC's Double Rainbow Rudy (Cosmo x. Ashley), handled by Sue Van Buren, won Bred By Exhibitor Dogs and Best of Winners for the 5-point major! Rudy now has 12 points with both majors.

  Also at the Supported Entry, Rudy's brother Chance, TLC Carry The Torch Chance CGC, owner-handled by Judy Riedel, won first place in 12-18 Month Dogs. Then Rudy and Chance went in with their mother Ashley, Am/Can CH Blacfriar TLC Classic Ashley JH Am/Can WC, to win the Brood Bitch class!! Congratulations!! This breeding will be repeated in December.

• Sept. 29, 2001 -- At her first show since May, Reggae, TLC Shalyn Rhythm O' The Island (Cosmo x. Ashley), owner handled by Sherri Lilley at Virginia Kennel Club, was Best of Winners over Open Dogs for another point, at 12 months old!

• Sept. 16, 2001 -- CH SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH AX WCX CGC (Major x. Ravin), Cosmo, earned his 2nd UD leg with 2nd place in Utility A at the DOTC trial in Lynchburg, VA! This was his first trial weekend since his first UD leg in early August.

  Happy first birthday to Cosmo's "TLC" litter kids!

• Sept. 15-16, 2001 -- Chance, TLC Carry The Torch Chance CGC (Cosmo x. Ashley), owner-handled by Judy Riedel, won 2 more points in Cape Cod . . . now needing a single point to finish his Championship!!

• September 9, 2001 -- Not one to be outdone by her kids and grandkids, Cosmo's mother Ravin, CH SR Lyric Queen Of The Mountain CDX JH NA WCX CGC Can CD WC (Topper x. Reggae), owned by Dawn Buttion and Marty Archambeault, debuted in Agility Jumpers With Weaves with Dawn, and earned her first NAJ leg!! Ravin is 11 years old.

• September 9, 2001 -- Chance, TLC Carry The Torch Chance CGC (Cosmo x. Ashley), owner-handled by Judy Riedel, picked up another point at the Westchester KC show, giving him 12 points with 3 majors at 11 months old!

• September 8, 2001 -- The day she turned 5 months old, Faith, Kaydin's Finding Faith *CGC* (Cosmo x. Jaxon), breeder/owner handled by Vanessa Rhodes, passed the Canine Good Citizen test in Myrtle Beach, SC, and placed 3rd in a puppy match Sporting Group!

• September 3, 2001 -- Sue Van Buren and Rudy, TLC's Double Rainbow Rudy (Cosmo x. Ashley) showed at an NCA show in NY . . . winning the Sporting Group for non-professional handlers and on to winning Supreme Group for all handlers!

  Meanwhile, Rudy's sister Reggae, TLC Shalyn Rhythm O' The Island, spent Labor Day on her first dove hunt with owner Sherri Lilley and Sherri's brothers!

• September 1 - 2, 2001 -- At the Albion NY shows, 11 month old Rudy, TLC's Double Rainbow Rudy (Cosmo x. Ashley), breeder/owner handled by Sue Van Buren, was Best of Winners both days for 2 more points, bringing him to 7 points with a major from the Puppy classes. He also placed 3rd in Puppy Sporting Group on Saturday, and WON the Puppy Group on Sunday! Sue forgot to stay for Best Puppy In Show . . . but it was a great weekend for Rudy anyway!

• September 2 - 6, 2001 -- Jessica Sedivy visited from North Dakota with CH Clarenjoy's Eva My Blue Moon CGC. On the full moon, Eva was bred to Cosmo, CH SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH AX WCX CGC. The Yahtaris "Moon" litter is expected in early November. See details!

• September 2, 2001 -- At the Cedar Rapids IA show, Rosie, Lyric's Little Rosebud CGC (Tomas x. Waylynn), owned by Ed and Nancy Bower, picked up a point to bring her total to 12 . . . Rosie now needs just a major to finish!

• August 26, 2001 -- At the Conyers Kennel Club show in Atlanta, 11 month old China, TLC Agape's Treasure Chest (Cosmo x. Ashley), owner-handled by Amanda Rawson, was Winners Bitch for 2 more points!

• August 25, 2001 -- Just 6 days after winning the Sporting Group, Dino, CH Blazin's Carpe Diem CD *SH* WCX (Zeus x. Augie), finished his Senior Hunter title owner-handled by Scott Borden . . . qualifying Dino for the HALL OF FAME! Dino is just 4 years old! and is Cosmo's double nephew.

• August 19, 2001 -- CH SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH AX *WCX* CGC (Major x. Ravin), Cosmo, earned his Working Certificate Excellent title at the Hudson Valley GRC test in Newburgh, NY. Meanwhile, nephew Dino (Zeus x. Augie), breeder handled by Dawn Buttion, won Group I in Annapolis, and niece Piper (Leroy x. Augie) finished her CH!

• August 18-19, 2001 -- Chance, TLC Carry The Torch Chance CGC (Cosmo x. Ashley), owner-handled by Judy Riedel, won a 4 point major, Best of Breed, and made the cut of 6 in the Sporting Group at the Wachusett KC show . . . at barely 11 months old! On Sunday, Chance was handled by Judy to a 3 point major and Best of Opposite, giving him 11 points with 3 majors!!! Awesome!

• August 5, 2001 -- CH SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH AX WC CGC (Major x. Ravin), Cosmo, earned his 1st UD leg with 2nd place in Utility A at the New River Valley trial in Salem, VA. The previous day, he was oh so close, working on a 190.5 before knocking the bar on the last exercise!

• August 1 and August 6, 2001 -- 3 month old Geyser, Kaydin's Old Faithful (Cosmo x. Jaxon), with his young owner-handler Karen, won Puppy Sporting Group 2 and Group 3 at his first matches in Canada!

• July 14 - 15, 2001 -- Rudy, TLC's Double Rainbow Rudy (Cosmo x. Ashley), breeder/owner handled by Sue Van Buren, crossed the border for the first time . . . and picked up 2 points toward his Canadian CH!

• July 14, 2001 -- Tink, Claymore's Tinker Bell *CGC*, (Cosmo x. Katie), owned by the Alea family and Al Jenkins, passed her Canine Good Citizen test at the tender age of 4 months, 6 days, at the CRFCRC summer membership meeting. Peter and Tink also won Most Improved at the beginner's conformation handling seminar. Congratulations on a great start with Tink!!

• July 9, 2001 -- Chance, TLC Carry The Torch Chance *CGC*, (Cosmo x. Ashley) passed his Canine Good Citizen test at 9 months old!

• July 8, 2001 -- At the Kennel Club of Buffalo show in NY, 9 month old Rudy, TLC's Double Rainbow Rudy (Cosmo x. Ashley), breeder/owner handled by Sue Van Buren in the 9-12 Month Puppy Dog class, was Winners Dog for a 4-point major and Best of Winners!

• July 3 - 4, 2001 -- At the Trap Falls and Naugatuck Valley KC shows in MA, 9 month old Chance, TLC Carry The Torch Chance (Cosmo x. Ashley), won his first point by going Winners Dog, Best of Winners, and Best of Opposite Sex on Tuesday, and won the 3-point major on Wednesday by going WD over major pointed Open and BBE competition, handled by Sue O'Donnell. Congrats to Chance, Judy, Steve and Sue!

• June 30, 2001 -- At the Hockamock KC show in MA, Chance, TLC Carry The Torch Chance (Cosmo x. Ashley), owner handled by Judy Riedel in the 9-12 Month Puppy Class, was Reserve to a major over Open and Bred-By competition!

• June 17, 2001 -- Happy Father's Day to Cosmo! He celebrated by earning his 3rd Agility Excellent leg with a clean run score of 100, and 3rd place in a class of about 22 dogs in the 24" jump height division, for a new AX title! CH SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH *AX* WC CGC (Major x. Ravin).

• June 3 - 10, 2001 -- The FCRSA National Specialty! . . . in Greeley, Colorado. Cosmo and I wish we were there.
  • In the Specialty Agility Trial, Ravin, CH SR Lyric Queen Of The Mountain CDX JH NA WCX CGC Can CD WC (Topper x. Reggae), owned by Dawn Buttion and Marty Archambeault, placed 2nd in Novice B Agility!! Ravin is *11 years old* and is Cosmo's mother.

  • In the Specialty Sweepstakes, Ravin placed 4th in the 11+ Year Veteran Bitch Sweeps class! And her granddaughter Piper, Blazin's Enchanted Forest (Leroy x. Augie), *won* the 12-15 Month Puppy Bitch Sweeps class! Piper also made the cut in Bred By Exhibitor bitches!!

  • In the Specialty Regular Classes, Ravin placed 2nd in the 11+ Year Veteran Bitch class! And her grandson Dino, CH Blazin's Carpe Diem CD JH WCX (Zues x. Augie), placed 2nd in the Working Dog class!

  • Finally, Ravin's daughter (x. Surf) Augie, CH Blazin's Alluvion Solitaire CD WC CGC (Surf x. Ravin), placed 3rd in the Brood Bitch class!

• May 25, 2001 -- A big day for father and daughter at the Langley Kennel Club show in Williamsburg, VA -- Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex!
  • Reggae, TLC Shalyn Rhythm O' The Island (Cosmo x. Ashley), owner handled by Sherri Lilley at Reggae's second show, won her first point over 2 major pointed Open bitches from the 6-9 Month Puppy Bitch class, under Mrs. Barbara Heller! This was Sherri's first point win ever.

  • At the same show, Cosmo, CH SR SHR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH OA WC CGC (Major x. Ravin), won Best of Breed over other male specials under Mrs. Heller, and went on to make the cut in the Sporting Group under Mrs. Patterson-Kauffman! Although Cosmo has been pulled in Group before, this was a first for me, and what a thrill!

  • With great sorrow, we have learned of the tragic death of Mrs. Heller in an automobile accident on June 2, 2001.

• May 20, 2001 -- In Alexander, NY, Rudy, TLC's Double Rainbow Rudy (Cosmo x. Ashley), breeder/owner handled by Sue Van Buren, won his first point and Best of Winners over major pointed Open competition, from the 6-9 Month Puppy class, his first show weekend out!

• May 19-20, 2001 -- At the Tidewater Retriever Club's UKC/Hunting Retriever Club tests, Cosmo, CH SR *SHR* U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH OA WC CGC (Major x. Ravin), passed 2 more Started tests to earn the new Started Hunting Retriever (SHR) title!

• May 12, 2001 -- At the St. Hubert Kennel Club show in CT, 7 month old Chance, TLC Carry The Torch Chance (Cosmo x. Ashley), owner-handled by Judy Riedel, was Reserve to 2 points over major pointed Open competition. It was both Chance's and Judy's first show!

• April 21, 2001 -- Happy 6th birthday to Cosmo!

• April 12, 2001 -- At the Valdosta Kennel Club show in Perry, GA, China, TLC Agape's Treasure Chest (pointed, Cosmo x. Ashley), owner-handled by Amanda Rawson, was Reserve to a 4-point major at her 2nd show, still 6 months old!

• April 8, 2001 -- PUPPIES!! The Kaydin "Faith" litter has arrived! Jaxon, Am/Can CH Adelhard Eiderdown JaxonFive, owned by Vanessa Rhodes of North Carolina, whelped her litter of 4 big, healthy puppies -- 2 black males and 2 black females, sired by Cosmo, CH SR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH OA WC CGC. • April 8, 2001 -- Cosmo, CH SR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH OA WC CGC (Major x. Ravin), made the cut of specials in Best of Breed at the CRFCRC Supported Entry at the Virginia Kennel Club show!

• April 7, 2001 -- At the Merrimac Dog Training Club agility trial, CH SR U-CD U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon CDX JH OA WC CGC, Cosmo (Major x. Ravin) earned his 2nd Agility Excellent leg with a clean run score of 100 and first place!

• April 6, 2001 -- Happy *Eleventh* Birthday to Ravin, Pepper and Nessie (Topper x. Reggae)! Ravin is Cosmo's mother.

• April 1, 2001 -- Kesey, Lyric's Merry Prankster *TDX* (Tomas x. Waylynn), owned by Kyla Carlson and Dave Wilt, earned his Tracking Dog Excellent title in California, completing his track in an incredible time of 11 minutes. Congratulations Kyla and Kesey!!

• March 31, 2001 -- At 6 months old and her first show, TLC Agape's Treasure Chest, now called "China" (Cosmo x. Ashley), owned by Amanda Rawson and Sue Van Buren and handled by Amanda, won her first two points toward her Championship over major pointed Open competition at the Newnan GA show! Congratulations Amanda and China!!

• March 31, 2001 -- At the CRFCRC fun match, Cosmo's mother, CH SR Lyric Queen Of The Mountain CDX JH NA WCX CGC (Topper x. Reggae), Ravin, owned by Dawn Buttion and Marty Archambeault, won Best Veteran in Match handled by Marty, and Highest Scoring Non-Regular Obedience with a score of 193 in the Veterans class handled by Dawn. All this, one week before her 11th birthday!!

• March 31, 2001 -- At the Blue Ridge Dog Training Club agility trial in Berryville, VA, Cosmo (Major x. Ravin) earned his 2nd NAJ leg with a score of 95 and a time of 36 seconds on a 43 second course.

• March 8, 2001 -- PUPPIES!! Katie, CH SR Lyric's Kay CD JH WCX CGC TDI (Tomas x. Waylynn), owned by Al Jenkins (Claymore Retrievers) of southern Maryland, whelped her litter of 4 black males, 2 black females and 1 liver female!! Katie is a Waylynn daughter.
