DECEMBER 1999

Dec. 4-5, 1999 -- Cosmo, CH *SR* U-CD Blazin's Back O' The Moon CD JH WC CGC, finished his NAHRA Started Retriever title in 4 straight tests, earning a Brass Band Award and qualifying for next year's Regional Invitational.
Dec. 4, 1999 -- Cosmo congratulates his mother Ravin, CH SR Lyric Queen Of The Mountain CDX JH NA WCX CGC Can CD WC, nearly 10 years old and running just for fun, on her 5th NAHRA Started pass handled by Dawn Buttion. Ravin also recently won the 9-11 Year Veteran Bitch Sweepstakes class at the CRFCRC Supported Entry Show, handled by Marty Archambeault.

NOVEMBER 1999

Nov. 14, 1999 -- Cosmo, CH U-CD Blazin's Back O' The Moon CD JH WC CGC, earned his second AKC Novice Agility leg with a score of 90 and a placement.
Nov. 6-7, 1999 -- At the NAHRA hunt tests in VA, Cosmo, CH U-CD Blazin's Back O' The Moon CD JH WC CGC, passed his first two Started Hunting Retriever tests.

OCTOBER 1999

Oct. 30, 1999 -- At the Susquehannah hunt test in Maryland, Cosmo, CH U-CD Blazin's Back O' The Moon CD *JH* WC CGC, earned his fourth Junior Hunter leg and the title -- passing 4 consecutive tests in October!!
Oct. 23, 1999 -- Al Jenkins and Katie, SR Lyric's Kay *CD* JH WCX CGC TDI finished the CD title at Upper Potomac Valley KC in Cumberland, MD, with a score of 182 and Second Place in Novice A -- qualifying in 3 consecutive trials in October!!
Oct. 23, 1999 -- At the PVGRC hunt test in Maryland, Cosmo, CH U-CD Blazin's Back O' The Moon CD WC CGC, earned his third Junior Hunter leg in a row!
Oct. 17, 1999 -- Kesey, Lyric's Merry Prankster TD, was Reserve to the major at Two Cities KC in CA, while his golden "brother" Cassady, U-CD Ricochet's Elderberry Pride CDX TD won Open A obedience with a 198! Both were handled by owner Kyla Carlson.
Oct. 16, 1999 -- At the Dogwood (VA) Retriever Club hunt test, Cosmo, CH U-CD Blazin's Back O' The Moon CD WC CGC, earned his second Junior Hunter leg in as many tests; while nephew Dino, CH Blazin's Carpe Diem JH WCX, breeder-handled by Dawn Buttion, took a Group placement in Maryland!
Oct. 9-10, 1999 -- Al Jenkins and Katie, SR Lyric's Kay JH WCX CGC TDI earned 2 legs toward her CD at the Mt. Vernon and Capitol DTC obedience trials, with scores of 184 and 180.5 in Novice A. At Sunday's trial they were joined by Scott Borden and Dino, CH Blazin's Carpe Diem JH WCX, also earning a 2nd leg in Novice A!
Oct. 9-10, 1999 -- At the Maryland Retriever Club hunt test on Saturday, Cosmo, CH U-CD Blazin's Back O' The Moon CD WC CGC, earned his first Junior Hunter leg, one of 16 qualifiers in a 37 dog test. On Sunday in VA, Cosmo earned his first Novice Agility leg with a red rosette, clean run score of 100 and a time of 50 seconds on a 67-second course!

SEPTEMBER 1999

Sept. 18, 1999 -- Kesey, Lyric's Merry Prankster TD went Best of Winners in CA for another point, handled by owner Kyla Carlson.
Sept. 11-12, 1999 -- At the Belroi Agility Club and Tidewater Performance Dog Club trials in Gloucester, VA, Cosmo, CH U-CD Blazin's Back O' The Moon CD WC CGC, earned his first two U-AGI legs with scores of 198 and 196 and times well ahead of the clock.
Sept. 4, 1999 -- Katie, SR Lyric's Kay JH WCX CGC TDI, who has 15 points and needs a major to finish, was Reserve to the 4-point major at the NJ Supported Entry. Katie is owned by Al Jenkins of Patuxent River, MD.

AUGUST 1999

Aug. 14-15, 1999 -- Cosmo, CH *U-CD* Blazin's Back O' The Moon CD WC CGC, qualified in 3 straight UKC obedience trials, scoring 194.5, 189.5, and 193 for his U-CD title. Now if I can just get him to wait until *after* the judge says "exercise finished" before he jumps up to kiss my face!

JUNE 1999

June 6, 1999 -- They had a field day at the MAFCRC WC/X Test! -- CH SR Lyric Queen Of The Mountain CDX JH NA WCX CGC Can CD WC, Ravin, 9 years old, with owner Dawn Buttion, earned her Working Certificate Excellent. What a lovely way to top off a lifetime in the ribbons.
SR Lyric's Kay JH WCX CGC TDI, Katie, with owner Al Jenkins, also passed the WCX -- for the *third* time!!!
At the same test, Ravin's grand-daughter Lin, Blazin Dunlin of Tidalflats WC, owned by Jane Boraczek and Cliff Williams, passed her Working Certificate test at just 13 months old.

MAY 1999

May 15, 1999 -- FCRSA National Specialty Field Events -- SR Lyric's Kay JH WCX CGC TDI, Katie and owner Al Jenkins could only participate in one day of this year's Specialty, but they made the most of it by repeating her WC and WCX passes and making a cut in the Steady Singles Championship!
May 12-13, 1999 -- FCRSA National Specialty Show -- Cosmo, CH Blazin's Back O' The Moon CD WC CGC, won the Working Retriever Dog class on Wednesday, and helped his mom Ravin, CH SR Lyric Queen Of The Mountain CDX JH NA WC CGC Can CD WC make a cut in the huge Brood Bitch class on Thursday. Ravin, handled by owner Marty Archambeault, also made the cut in the huge Veteran Bitch class. Cosmo was entered in Saturday's field events but spent the day playing on Cape Cod instead :-).
May 10, 1999 -- FCRSA National Specialty Agility -- *HIGH IN TRIAL!* -- CH SR Lyric Queen Of The Mountain CDX JH NA WC CGC Can CD WC, Ravin, handled by owner Dawn Buttion, won the Novice B 20" class with a flawless score of 100 at the age of 9, for the fastest clean run in the Specialty standard agility classes and High In Trial!
May 9, 1999 -- Kesey, Lyric's Merry Prankster TD went Best of Winners in CA for another point, handled by owner Kyla Carlson.
May 1, 1999 -- At the Chesapeake (VA) show, Katie, SR Lyric's Kay JH WCX CGC TDI, handled by Floyd Massey, picked up 2 more points under judge Anne Rogers Clark.

APRIL 1999

April 21, 1999 -- Happy 4th birthday to Cosmo (CH Blazin's Back O' The Moon CD WC CGC) -- and congratulations to his nephew, CH Blazin's Carpe Diem JH WCX CGC on his Group placement today at Warrenton Kennel Club!
April 18, 1999 -- Lyric's Merry Prankster TD won Best of Breed at Sacramento Kennel Club over a dog special, for 2 more points. Kesey was owner-handled by Kyla Carlson.
April 10, 1999 -- Katie, SR Lyric's Kay JH WCX CGC TDI, needing only a major to finish, was Reserve to a 4-point major at Piedmont Kennel Club, owner-handled by Al Jenkins.
April 6, 1999 -- Happy 9th birthday to Blue, Ravin, Trump, Nessie, Chloe & Pepper!
